Apple Announces iOS 4.1, Released Next Week

Apple just announced the most recent version of their iOS platform for its mobile devices. The newest edition, iOS 4.1, fixes many ongoing issues as well as some new features.

What was fixed? The iOS 4.1 update addresses issues with the iPhone’s proximity sensor. This was an ongoing complaint among many users, as the screen wouldn’t turn off as it should when the phone was held up to the face. Bluetooth stability issues were fixed as well.

What’s new? Now you can take High Dynamic Range photos using the HDR setting on the iPhone. Additionally, the new Game Center allows you to play games with multiple users.

iOS 4.1 will be available next week as a free download for the iPhone and iPod Touch. However, not all models are supported.
