Lenovo Introduces the IdeaPad Y550P with Intel Core i7

If you’ve been looking for a new Windows 7 Notebook that runs the powerful Intel Core i7 processor and has its own integrated subwoofer, the new Lenovo IdeaPad Y550P may be what you’ve been looking for.

The IdeaPad Y550P is Lenovo’s first consumer notebook to feature the Intel Core i7 processor and it can also be configured with a Blu-Ray drive and an Nvidia GeForce GT 240M 1GB graphics card for optimum graphical power.

The new Y550P also comes with SlideNav, a touch-sensitive bar that lets you navigate your desktop easier. This feature appears to be another way for users to “alt-tab” between windows.

The IdeaPad Y550P will typically cost $1,399 when it is available.

You definietley strike a bargain with this machine. I was able to stream my slingbox to this laptop and still install software, remove software, download updates and navigate all at the same time with little or no lag. This machine is a beast no matter what negative comments are said about it. the 720p display is 100% better than a VGA and I can especially enjoy watching movies and tv without having to hook up an external amplified speaker system to it. This means less I have to carry with me. There are some who don't like the USB ports on the right front, but there is also one on the front left, it is a combination port for USB and ESATA. This is for the true multitasker, even more so if you enjoy performing a lot of multimedia tasks. Just about everything is instantaneous. My internet fly's too since I have FiOS.

i got this laptop and it pretty much kicks ass. running l4d2 re5 and fallou3 on high settings no problem. got mine for 999.00 at newegg..blazing fast and the graphics card is pretty beasty for a laptop. didn't get the blu-ray but i got a ps3 for that.
