Best Buy: Gateway ML3109 Notebook for $349

Best Buy’s discounting the very basic Gateway ML3109 by $200, bringing the price down to $349. Built for the most basic home users, the ML3109 comes with an 80GB hard drive, 512MB of memory, 1.6GHz Intel Celeron M 520 processor and DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive.

Don’t expect the Gateway ML3109 to be a workhorse, but this is a great deal for the casual home user. The ML3109 has a 14.1-inch wdescreen display and a decent assortment of ports and plugs. The ML3109 comes with Windows Vista Home Basic.

Just found a Gateway ML3109 at a BestBuy store on 09OCT07 for $349. As expected with 512mB it was slow...., but BestBuyy also had Kingston 1.0GB DDR2 for an incredible $39. I added this in two or three minutes to bring the notebook up to 1.47 gB and it screams! The video card is simply AMAZING ! Total price under $400 with 1.5gB

Marie, the ML3109 discount has expired. Take a look at the Best Buy Laptop discount ad on the right of this page. They may have a new model # that's discounted below $400.
