Lenovo Upgrades 3000 Line to Core 2 Duo

Lenovo announced its first Core 2 Duo notebooks will be in the 3000 N series. The N100 will start at $929 for a 14.1” model, with a Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.6 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 80 gig drive. They won’t start shipping for a few more weeks, but if you preorder one before the end of September, there is a $100 rebate and free shipping.
