Gateway’s New UltraPortable & New Intel Chip

Gateway is rolling out its first ultraportable notebook in three years and it’s the first to use the Intel Centrino Ultra Low Voltage processor. There’s no official word on the exact specs of the Centrino ULV, but we are expecting to hear more shortly.

The 12.1”weighs only 3.15 pounds, with an office version (e-100M) and a home/SMB edition NX100X . The NX100X comes with an external DVD-R/RW, but is a $199 add-on for the E-100M.  Both include a 6-1 media reader and  are upgradeable to 100GB HDD’s.

The only thing that bugs me off the bat about this one is bluetooth isn’t standard.
