HP’s announced the Pavilion tx2000, a significant upgrade to its consumer line of tablet PCs. The tx2000 features an active digitizer for improved hand-writing recognition compared to last year’s tx1000 series. Check out the following video of the new tx2000.
Dell Latitude XT Officially Announced
Dell officially launched the Latitude XT Tablet PC, its first foray into tablet computing. The Latitude XT has a 12.1-inch touchscreen display and is tailored for mobile professionals. The Latitude XT can be configured with a 64GB solid state drive and an extended battery that provides up to 9.5 hours of runtime.
Toshiba Portege M700 Tablet PC
Toshiba announced the Portege M700, a 12.1-inch convertible notebook with a backlit LED display. Users can touch the screen to navigate menus and launch applications, or use the active digitizer to take notes and draft documents. Built for professionals, the M700 is loaded with features and has a reasonable base price of $1,449.

Dell’s running some videos on YouTube of frustrated Tablet PC ‘users’ destroying their non-Dell tablets. While the videos are somewhat ammusing, they’ll probably turn some people off of the Tablet PC category. “If you had a Tablet PC that drove you crazy…what would you do with it?” Maybe punish it with a golf club or saw? Hopefully Dell’s new tablets live up to the hype.

HP’s new business tablet is now shipping. The all-new 2710p has a slick aluminum case, a look that the rest of the Compaq business notebooks may adopt in the future. An auxilliary battery and DVD burner can be stacked to this slim tablet.

Fujitsu Lifebook T4220 Tablet Now Available
Fujitsu’s upgraded is Lifebook tablets with Intel’s Santa Rosa mobile platform. A touch over four pounds, the Fujitsu T4220 tablet’s exterior looks identical to previous models, but boasts many upgrades. The T4220 packs the latest Core 2 Duo processors, 802.11n wireless and up to 120GB of storage.
