Toshiba Qosmio G55, Qosmio X305 and Qosmio F55 Announced
Toshiba’s expanded its multimedia powerhouse Qosmio brand with three new notebooks today. The Qosmio G55, Qosmio X305 and Qosmio F55 are specifically designed for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.
Toshiba Qosmio G40 and F40: First Notebooks with HD DVD-RW
Toshiba is the first notebook OEM to introduce rewritable HD DVD optical drives. The new drives will be available to Japanese consumers as early as the end of this week.
Toshiba Portege M700 Tablet PC
Toshiba announced the Portege M700, a 12.1-inch convertible notebook with a backlit LED display. Users can touch the screen to navigate menus and launch applications, or use the active digitizer to take notes and draft documents. Built for professionals, the M700 is loaded with features and has a reasonable base price of $1,449.
Best Buy Black Friday: Toshiba A135-S7403 for $229
The Toshiba A135-S7403 is the cheapest notebook advertised for Black Friday so far. Best Buy’s selling the Toshiba A135-S7403 for just $229 and throwing in a free printer.
Black Friday Circuit City: Toshiba A215-S7413 for $399
Circuit City will sell the Toshiba Satellite A215-S7413 for $699.99 the day after Thanksgiving. This holiday special includes a $150 mail in rebate and $150 in-store discount. The A215-S7413 comes with an AMD Athlon processor, 1GB of RAM and 120GB hard drive.
Best Buy Black Friday: Toshiba Satellite P205-S7402 w/HD DVD for $799
Best Buy is discounting the Toshiba Satellite P205-S7402 by $200 on Black Friday. This 17-inch notebook is the only Black Friday one we’ve found so far that includes a HD DVD drive.
Toshiba Relaunches Satellite Pro Notebooks
Toshiba’s relaunching the Satellite Pro line with the introduction of the A200 and A210. The Toshiba Tecra and Portege lines are the real deal for pros, but the Satellite Pro line is worth a look if you’re on a tight budget.
Toshiba Satellite P205 Updated
Toshiba updated the Satellite P205 series of 17-inch desktop replacement notebooks, including two new models that feature HD DVD drives and up to 300GB of storage. The Toshiba Satellite offer some nice entertainment features for movie buffs.
Satellite X205 SLi1 and SLi3 Gaming Notebooks Now Available
Toshiba’s added NVIDIA SLI technology to its X205 gaming notebook series. The new Satellite X205 will be available in two models- the Satellite X205-SLi1 and the Satellite X205-SLi3. Both models feature dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT GPUs and are compatible with Microsoft DirectX 10.
Toshiba Shipping first Notebooks with HD DVD-R
Toshiba’s now shipping the Qosmio G45-AV680 multimedia notebook, the first notebook featuring an HD DVD-R drive. The HD DVD-R drive can burn up to 30GB of data onto a single disc. Users will be able to watch HD content at at full 1080p resolution.
