HP Pavilion HDX Updated With Blu-ray Disc Drive (video, specs)
HP’s updated the HDX with improved specs and an optional Blu-ray disc drive. This updated 20.1-inch notebook starts at less than $1,999, but extras can push the price tag to more than $4,500. Check out the following video of the new HDX.
HP Pavilion tx2000 Consumer Tablet Announced (video, specs)

HP Pavilion Notebooks Get Blu-Ray Drives, dv2700, dv6700 and dv9700 Lines Introduced
HP is updating its Pavilion 14.1-inch, 15.4-inch and 17-inch notebook lines and offering Blu-Ray ROM drives in its consumer line for the first tme. The new dv2700, dv6700 and dv9700 are very similar to the previous models and will accomodoate future components that will be announced in the coming months.
HP Increases Lead Over Dell, Acer, Lenovo in Global PC Sales
Hewlett-Packard expanded its lead over rival Dell in the global PC market, according to iSuppli. HP shipped 13.1 million PCs, a 32.7 percent and 3.2 million unit increase from 9.9 million in the third quarter of 2006. This expansion allowed Hewlett-Packard to outgrow global PC unit shipment growth, which amounted to 13.8 percent in the third quarter of 2007 compared to the same period in 2006.

Circuit City will sell the HP Pavilion dv6439nr notebook for $549.99 on Black Friday, after a $150 rebate. Normally priced at $899, this AMD powered notebook is more expensive than the cheapest Black Friday laptops, but the dv6439nr does have 2GB of memory and a webcam.

Best Buy’s going to have at least 15 HP Pavilion dv6407nr notebooks at each store for $449, a $200 discount. The retailer will also offer the dv6407nr bundled with an Epson all-in-one printer, notebook bag, TrendMicro AntiVirus and wireless mouse for $549.
