Apple Posts Christmas Shipping Cutoff Calendar
It’s not too late to order an a MacBook or MacBook Pro in time to sneak it under the Christmas tree. It’s too late to order custom-configured Macs for Christmas, but Apple has several popular configurations that will make it to your door by Christmas eve.

New Compact MacBook Pro Coming in 2008
CNBC is reporting that the much-rumored thin and light MacBook Pro will be announced at Macworld next month. The reporter’s inside source says the compact notebook will be about half as thick as current models and feature a solid state drive. The new Macbook Pros will cost about $1,500.

If Apple were to release a Tablet, what would it look like? The guys over at Gizmodo held a contest and the winner’s rendering, dubbed the ‘MacBook Touch’ is very sleek. The MacBook Touch can be rotated about and has a virtual musical keyboard for GarageBand.
Amazon: $274 Discount on Apple MacBook Pro, Free Shipping
Apple’s 15.4-inch MacBook Pro is discounted by $250 at Amazon.com while supplies last on Black Friday. Amazon is offering a $99 or $124 discount and a $150 rebate on the 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz MacBook Pros while supplies last. It’s already early Saturday morning right now and the deal is still available.

Apple will celebrate Black Friday with discounts and giveaways at its retail locations and online at Apple.com. Apple hasn’t announced their Black Friday specials yet, but don’t expect half-priced iPods or MacBooks.
Why One Guy Loves Macs
One of the things I dislike about owning a MacBook Pro is that everyone assumes I’m a rabid fanboy that hates all things PC. This couldn’t be further from the truth, but I can understand how some people can become raving Apple fans. Consider Bill Clementson- his PowerBook had a minor dislplay issue and Apple was backordered on the necessary parts. Apple’s solution? Call the customer and offer him a brand new, and much more powerful MacBook Pro.

Apple updated its Macbook notebook series, which features Intel’s Santa Rosa platform. The new MacBooks come with Intel GMA X3100 graphics and either a 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz processor.
Apple Sells Over 2 Million Copies of OS X Leopard
Apple announced that it sold more than two million copies of Mac OS X Leopard since its Friday release. Leopard is the sixth major release of Mac OS X and is packed with more than 300 new features.
