Lenovo U110: First Impressions Review


Lenovo sent over an IdeaPad U110 for me to play with for the next few months. The IdeaPad U110 is Lenovo’s first 11-inch consumer notebook and it’s simply gorgeous. Everyone I’ve shown it to so far wants to steal it from me. The IdeaPad U110 is available now for $1,899 and as far as I can tell so far is worth every penny.

X300 vs. MacBook Air (video)

The MacBook Air designers had to sacrifice a lot of ports and an optical drive so Apple could claim the title of ‘world’s thinnest notebook.’ Lenovo pokes some fun at the MacBook Air in this video and shows that an X300, the thinnest ThinkPad, can fit inside a manila envelope too.

ThinkPad X300I was pleasantly surprised when FedEx dropped off a big box with a ThinkPad X300 today.It looks better in person than it does online and it feels like a real ThinkPad. It feels solid and has all of the little details ThinkPad users are accustomed to.

Lenovo ThinkPad x300 Available

X300 ThinkPadLenovo’s officially launched the ThinkPad x300 and I want one. The ultraportable is less than 3/4 of an inch thick and weighs just 2.9 pounds. Lenovo’s managed to pack GPS, a mobile broadband card, a 64GB solid state drive and a DVD burner into this incredibly slim ultraportable notebook. The x300 is designed specifically for road warriors, but it’s high price will keep it out of the hands of sales people and execs with stingy bosses.

ThinkPad x300 - Full Featured 13.3-inch, 2.5-pound Lenovo Notebook Coming Soon

Lenovo ThinkPad x300The MacBook Air’s stirred up some interesting discussion about what’s expected of an ultraportable notebook. Lenovo’s answer is the ThinkPad X300 series, which features a 64GB solid state drive, three USB ports, a DVD burner. Not bad for a 2.5 pound package.
