Dell has announced the availability of their new, top end, Alienware M11X gaming notebook. Dell kept their promise of keeping the price of the Alienware M11x under $1000 and is offering the M11X starting at just $799. This is the regular price of the small, yet capable, gaming computer which means you may be able to get it even cheaper in the coming months with sales and coupons.

According to Dell, with the Alienware M11X, they have delivered the power of 15” machine in an 11″ form factor; at an impressive pricepoint. On top of the small size the notebook claims an 8.5 hour battery life and weighs a little under 4 and a half pounds so you’ll be able to game wherever you find yourself without packing a back brace and an extension cord!

If you’re anything like Xavier, you may be skeptical of playing new games on such a small and cheap system, but he was able to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on the Alienware M11X at CES 2010 and found that the 11″ notebook delivered an impressive mobile gaming experience with an consistent 30 fps and only the occasional slow down when the action got real intense.
