Normally priced at $599.99, the MediaSmart Server EX485 comes with a single 750GB hard drive and three open drive bays. The EX487 comes with a pair of 750GB hard drives and has an MSRP of $749.99.

Home servers are designed to backup all of your notebooks, automatically collect multimedia, and stream content within your house or around the world. HP MediaSmart servers can backup data from both Mac and PC notebooks wirelessly and automatically, ensuring that you always have at least two copies of your data. Home servers are most valuable for homes with multiple computers and large multimedia libraries.
