Hi, just want to say that Im new to bb but I now have the storm and getting the bold as well. I will tell you that the web on the iphone is fast and easy. The load, the wait etc on the storm and the bold can take 30 to 60 to load. I think that sucks. ATT tells me its the verizon network on the storm and verizon tells me its the att network on the bold. This was tech support talking. Knocking the competion. Who it really is is bb not the networks. Other then that the phones are great. The storm does youtube and vcast v really nice and they are both solid phones. They are class acts. Take care.

Good review, thanks for sharing.
But as far as I experienced it, the BlackBerry GUI still has to be improved for better usability. For most people it's fine and the features are great, but it's always possible to make things easier and smoother.

I'm an ex-Blackberry user, turned iPhone user. It's really frustrating to have such a crap mail client for the past year and a half.

Hoping a new app called SocialScope will help with the FF/FB integration. Alpha stage now, but theoretically looks goos.It is referenced here with a screenshot. http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/six_new_blackberry_apps_keep_rim_platform_fresh.php

Sascha, thanks for the comments.

I would love to see some Qik videos direct from Taiwan. That would be great. Let me know if I can help integrating the Qik feed into your blog. Friendfeed integration is real easy. Just take the RSS feed and add it as a "blog".

Yeah, the bold is pretty exciting. I can't wait to get mine. The variety of apps is less than on the other platforms, but the vast majority of those are all novelty things, not really worth the price or download time. Gimme my ridecharge for cabs and the other business essentials, that's all I need. But yes, a facebook/twitter improvement would help, big-time.

Great article Pat and i can only sign it. I have my bold for nearly 2 weeks now and yes, it does what it has to do for me.

Messaging, Email, Twitter, Facebook and qik. That's all i need and it does it with style and great usability.

Of course the iPhone GUI is advanced compared to the BB one but do i really need all this eyecandy? I don't cause i am one of these guys that are running around with the same mobilephone for 5 years in a row.

Thanks a lot for the hints and support Pat. I am using the apps you recommendet nearly everyday.
