Cyber Monday: 40% off eBay Buy it Now w/Live.com’s Cash Back
Live.com and eBay are teaming up to offer 40% off buy-it-now purchases for Cyber Monday. I’m not happy with Live.com after its Cash Back service choked on Black Friday, but it appears that eBay’s program uses a different service that doesn’t require an intermediate page, which seemed to be the root of those problems.
Needless to say 40% off a purchase is an awesome deal, but you do have to read the fine print. The discount is limited to $200 per purchase and $2,500 per calendar year. The offer is only good on buy-it-now items and you have to use PayPal as your payment method.
There are tons of new notebooks and netbooks for sales on eBay in the $500 to $700 range. You can also find many used notebooks for around that price.

$500 is the largest purchase you can make and still get the full 40% off. If your purchase is more than $500 you still get the $200 rebate. Microsoft makes you wait 60 days to get the cash back credit, which is a long time to wait.
Make sure to log in to live.com/Cash Back before making your purchase and to promptly check your Cash Back account to make sure you’re credited properly. During last Friday’s HP/Live.com 40% promotion many Notebooks.com readers received incorrect credits.
