X300 vs. MacBook Air (video)

The MacBook Air designers had to sacrifice a lot of ports and an optical drive so Apple could claim the title of ‘world’s thinnest notebook.’ Lenovo pokes some fun at the MacBook Air in this video and shows that an X300, the thinnest ThinkPad, can fit inside a manila envelope too.

I came very close to buying a MacBook Air, but decided that a single USB port and fixed battery wouldn’t work for me. I’m reviewing a ThinkPad X300, which might not be as pretty as the MacBook Air, but is much more practical for notebook users on the go. The ThinkPad X300 has a built in optical drive, modem and a full array of ports.
