Dell to Compete w/ HP 2133 Soon
Michael Dell said his company will bring an affordable compact notebook to market later this year to compete HP’s just announced HP 2133 Mini-Note PC. Dell’s mini notebook will be manufactured by Compal and will most likely run on Intel’s Atom processors.
I review of HP’s latest notebook, which was announced yesterday and was impressed overall. I’m very interested to see how Dell will differentiate it’s yet to be announced product. Acer is also getting in on the game and will bring a small and affordable Aspire notebook online within the next couple of months.
Michael Dell was quoted on San Jose Mercury News’ web site as saying:
“We do see opportunities for very interesting products that are smaller and lighter and address the more mobile users in a very cost-effective way.”
“Stay tuned. We will have some interesting products coming in that space over the next two quarters.”
