Dell’s blowing out its Latitude D420 series notebooks, which are now priced from $599. That’s $988 off its original price and about $800 cheaper than the D430 that recently replaced the D420.

The Latitude D420 is a thin and light 12-inch notebook that’s optimized for business users on the go. It uses a single-core Intel processor, has a 60GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. This is not the fastest Latitude you can buy, but this is the best price for an enterprise 12-inch notebook on the market right now.

The Latitude D420 priced at $599 comes with Windows XP. Vista Business and Vista Ultimate are optional.
