Toshiba Satellite X205 Gets NVIDIA SLI, Intel Penryn Processors

Toshiba’s updated its Satellite X205 notebook series with Intel’s 45nm “Penryn” processors and NVIDIA SLI graphics with dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT GPUs. The Satellite X205 is built for gamers on the go, and these upgrades should improve game play and overall multimedia experience on this 17-inch notebook series.

Intel’s 45nm processors are designed to pack more power into mobile computers and produce less heat than its previous generation of processors.

The X205 can be ordered with up to dual 160GB (7200 RPM) drives. Some other notebooks can be configured with a higher total capacity, but if you’re trying to squeeze every ounce of performance out of a notebook you should definitely stick with 7200 RPM drives.

The Satellite X205-SLI notebooks come with a HD DVD drive that can also play and burn standard DVDs and CDs. An HDMI port is included for high-def output to your HDTV.
