Black Friday: Sony VAIO VGN-NR123E/S Laptop for $499 at Best Buy

The Sony VAIO VGN-NR123E/S will be sold as a doorbuster special at Best Buy on Black Friday for $499. There will be at least 20 VAIO VGN-NR123E/S notebooks available at each Best Buy store.

The VAIO VGN-NR123E/S comes bundled with an all-in-one printer, carrying case, Trend Micro anti-virus software and a mouse. The Black Friday discount represents about $550 in savings.

The VGN-NR123E/S is a mainstream, equipped with a 15.4-inch widescreen display. It features a 1.46MHz Intel Dual-Core T2310 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. The VGN-NR123E/S includes a multi-format DVD burner. Graphics are powered by an Intel X3100 graphcs Media Acclerator, which shares up to 251MB of the system’s memory.

There are plenty of ports and plugs to connect peripherals to the VGN-NR123E/S. There are four USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard slot, a FireWire port and a memory card reader. There’s also an Ethernet port and modem port. You can connect to networks with its integrated 802.11b/g wireless card.

This notebook is part of Sony’s new NR120-series of notebooks, which comes in a variety of colors. The VGN-NR123E/S has a silver shell. The VGN-NR123E/S weighs 6.2 pounds.

Best Buy is also selling the
Toshiba A135-S7403 for $229 as a doorbuster special.
