Dell Notebooks Coming to Staples

Dell Staples Staples will start selling Dell notebooks online and in its 1,400 stores in time for the holidays. The Dell Inspiron 1521 and Inspiron 1721 will be the first to hit Staple’s shelves. Staples will also sell Dell desktops, printers and monitors starting November.

Dell is doing everything it can to regain marketshare from HP, which has a well-established retail presence. The Inspiron 1521 and 1721 are both AMD powered machines. This latest announcement means Dell notebooks are now available in 10,000 retail locations, including Sam’s Club.

“We know our customers will appreciate the ability to see, touch and immediately take Dell products to the home or office,” said Ron Sargent, chairman and CEO, Staples. “By becoming Dell’s first comprehensive retailer in the Americas, and deepening our offerings with one of the world’s most respected brands, we’re making it easy to buy great technology products this upcoming holiday season and beyond.”
