ThinkPad X61 Tablet Specs and Prices Announced

Lenovo’s officially announced specs and pricing info on its ThinkPad X61 tablet. The X61 features Centrino Pro technology and a touch-sensitive 12.1-inch display.

The tablet version of the ultraportable X61 comes with a choice of either the L7300 (1.4GHz) or L7500 (1.6GHz)low voltage Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics and shock-resistant hard drives with capacities ranging from 80GB to 160GB. A fingerprint reader and Lenovo’s extensive security features.

The X61 will come with a choice of Windows XP, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.

The base configuration will cost $2,242 and range up to $3,072. The high-end models include 2GB of memory, extended 8-cell battery and Ultrabase, which adds several ports and a DVD burner.
