Sony Vaio Notebooks in Japanese Hip Hop Video


Back in the day, hip-hop artists promoted their favorite booze, tricked out rides and shoes. But more recently HP’s teamed up with Jay Z and other pop stars to promote their entertainment notebooks in 30-second spots.

Sony’s the first notebook company to actually do a full-on product placement in a music video. Rip Slyme, a popular Japanese group, made a video that’s all about Sony VAIO notebooks.

Smart marketing, but I have to admit this video makes me a little embarassed to be a VAIO user. And yes, this is playing on MTV…
