$449 AMD Powered Dells Coming Soon

Dell will begin shipping a n AMD powered 15.4-inch notebook next month, with a 17-inch version early next year. According to DigiTimes, Taiwan’s Compal will build 500,000 of the cheap notebooks for Dell to kick things off. Dell is obviously going to be going after consumers with these notebooks, but we don’t have much in the way of specs yet. Things could get really cheap if Dell starts to throw down discounts left and right like it often does. Will cheap AMD CPUs lead to a sub-$400 Dell notebook soon?
